The NAUI Difference

Why I Chose NAUI

Why did I choose NAUI for my diving education? Because NAUI Instructors have been through a rigorous vetting and training process to become teachers. NAUI teachers understand that exploring the underwater world is very challenging and not forgiving to those that are not highly skilled. NAUI training is performance- based with the academic freedom to cater the instruction to the students’ specific needs. Other agencies are process-based meaning all students get the same training regardless of specific needs. My NAUI training has been very challenging and I’m a much better diver and instructor as a result of it. This training, my background in science, and love of the sport led me to become a NAUI teacher and mentor of new divers. I follow the traditional NAUI Credo whereas I only certify students that I would trust to dive with my sister or brother or any other loved one.
